Did you know the brightest star in the night sky is called Sirius ? It means “The Dog Star”, well a group of amateur astronomers in Croydon have spotted quite a few “dogging stars” though I guess they wouldn’t think of them as stars. A country lane leading up to their observatory near Kenley Aerodrome has become a bit of a dogging hotspot, especially at weekends. Waterhouse Lane, Kenley Aerodrome, Croydon Dogging Location. Members of Croydon Astronomical Society have complained to the police who are now staking it out. A local resident was quoted as saying…….”Every time you drive past that lay-by you see cars queuing up to get a slot. You can only get three cars in, at a push four, and sometimes the cars queuing up cause quite a problem for other drivers, who just want to get to home. The police need to go there on a Saturday night and just nick everyone there, it won’t be hard to catch them, they’ll have their pants around their ankles”. This is of course in stark contrast to that other amateur astronomer Miss Hybrid who uses her telescope to spot doggers fucking and then goes out in her 4 x 4 to join them.
